August 13, 2013 ~Welcome to High Ability for 3rd Grade!~
Today we spent some time getting to know each other! The first item of the day was to pass out our Folders. Inside the folders are letters to parents, envelopes and tickets, letters to students, and also a fun introduction game. We covered the ticket system, class expectations, doctorate program, reading logs, literary genres, journals, and to-do lists! Then we answered some personal analysis questions and saw how alike and different we all are! Students wrote paragraphs about themselves that will be displayed in the hallway.
Please bring Folders back next week!
Next Class Preview: Penguin journal activity, SWOT analysis, brainstorm favorite businesses, business research.
Next Week Preview: We are going to be making inventions! If you have any random stuff at home that you'd like to get rid of, please send it in! We can use anything (safe) that might be accumulating in a junk drawer, leftover crafts, and I even have spare computer parts that are pretty cool.
